How does chemical peel work?
Chemical peels involve applying one or more chemical substances to the skin at certain concentrations, tailored to your specific needs. They will accelerate cellular restoration. Their immediate and visible action involves skin exfoliation to a greater or lesser depth, whereas in the long-term causes skin regeneration and the production of new collagen and elastin. A chemical peel can be used to treat various skin problems. Different blends and strengths of the peel will be used, as necessary, to best treat the issues and procedures.
How does the skin reacts after the procedure?
Immediately after the treatment and for a few days the redness on the face may be present – but this is rare. After 2-3 days, the exfoliating shell appears on the surface of the skin. This condition may last for about 4 days, depending on the type of blend used.
What are the indications after the procedure?
For about 4 weeks UV radiation and sunbathing must be avoided, therefore SPF 50 creams should be used. More in depth aftercare advice will be given at the time of treatment.
